MESSAGE #255 THE GREATEST MESSAGE

Today’s message is especially dedicated to the inspiring Randy Pausch.

By now, most of you have seen the great lecture by Randy Pausch, but if for some reason you haven’t, do yourself a favor and PLEASE watch it now.

Dr. Pausch was interviewed by Diane Sawyer last night. The thing that stuck with me is when he said that the greatest lesson about parenting is from airline stewardesses…

“Put your own oxygen masks on first.”

Now this doesn’t JUST apply to parenting; it applies to ALL relationships. You need to take care of yourself first, THEN you can help others.

How can you DO good if you don’t FEEL good?

How can you make someone else happy if YOU’RE not happy?

Focus on quality not quantity.
